Kyar-San Hin Gar(ၾကာဆံဟင္းခါး)

Today I would be sharing this delectable vermicelli (kyar-san) soup (hin gar) recipe. Since I’ve mentioned before the names of many Myanmar dishes denote the cooking style or the ingredients used in the dish, you would be surprised to see other main ingredients that are needed for this recipe.
Kyar-san hin gar  is a soup that consists of quite a few main ingredients even though the name of this soup highlighted only one of the main ingredients which is vermicelli (kyar-san).
Cooking Time : 45-50 minutes
Main Ingredients for Kyar-San Hin Gar (ၾကာဆံဟင္းခါး)

Soak the Bean's skin, Black Fungus, Dried Lily Flowers and Bean Vermicelli in water for 25-30 minutes. Peel, wash and cut the shallots in half.

Add water, chicken thigh and garlic to the cooking pot. Add a little bit of dark soy sauce. Cover with the lid and cook this over a medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add in the shallots, cover with the lid and let it cook for another 25-30 minutes. Once the chicken is cooked, remove the chicken and let it cool. Let the soup continue to boil at low heat.

After soaking the ingredients in water for 25-30 minutes, drain them. After that, wash and clean them well before cutting them into bite-size pieces. Remember to shred the chicken.

Now, all these ingredients would be added inside the boiling soup.

Season with salt and mono sodium glutamate (MSG). Stir well, cover with the lid and cook for 8-10 minutes over a medium heat.
